Easy Salads for the Mediterranean Diet

You know you should be eating better, but chances are it won’t become a regular if it’s not something fast, simple, and tasty. Since May is National Mediterranean Diet Month, I choose to publish these Mediterranean diet salads since, as a rational hedonist, I already heavily rely on Mediterranean cuisine. They are also reasonably priced and, if not, easily found. Eating Mediterranean food may be less expensive than purchasing processed, frozen insta-meals and is not difficult.

Three of my favorite simple dishes using apples, oranges, cucumbers, and tomatoes as the primary components are listed below. Great “beginner” recipes for youngsters to start assisting or tossing together when the cutting is done, and the “together” time is precious.

The adaptability of these dishes is something else wonderful about them. You may modify them for a single person or a whole family!

An Easy Salad Recipe Using Cucumbers

  • A Tomato Slab

The salad with carrots, dates, and oranges

Salad with apples and walnuts

  • There are a few more components associated with this, but in most cases, you will already own Extra Virgin Olive Oil and Honey.
  • The Roma or Gala kind of apples, although any apple will do
  • For the purpose of making juice, a half of an orange; dried apricots (in a package); walnuts (in bits)
  • Make sure to remove the cores from the apples, slice them, and cut them into bite-sized pieces.) Cut the orange in half and put it aside.) Crush the walnuts into smaller pieces and roast them for a few minutes either on the top of the stove or on a skillet in the oven.)
  • Cut the dried apricots into pieces that are small enough to be eaten.
